Why can't I close the lever?
Is the capsule inserted crooked? If a capsule has not been inserted properly it may have become tilted and the lever cannot close completely. In this case, remove the capsule and insert a new one. Do not put excessive force onto the lever/handle.

Is the spent-capsule container full?
The spent capsule container will only hold 10 capsules and needs to be regularly emptied. If the container for the used capsules is full, it can happen that the capsule cannot be ejected properly. Inserting a new capsule can lead to jamming, preventing the lever from closing properly. Empty the spent-capsule container. Do not put excessive force onto the lever/handle.

Why does the light not come on when I switch on my machine?
Check the power supply, e.g. plug, voltage, fuse and mains switch.

Why does my machine not brew any coffee or milk?
Water tank empty? Make sure the water tank contains enough water. If not, fill it up again.
Have you inserted a capsule? It may be that you've forgotten to insert a capsule. Insert a new capsule and close the lever.
Is the lever closed? Is the capsule not in straight? Check that the lever is fully closed. If a capsule has not been inserted properly it may have become tilted and the lever cannot close completely. In this case, remove the capsule and either take it out of the spent capsule container and insert it again or use a new one if the other has become damaged.

What can I do if my drink is not hot enough?
Is the cup too cold? If your cup is very cold, your drink may cool down too quickly. If so, heat up the cup with hot water beforehand

Why does water run out of my machine when I open the lever?
When the lever is opened, the remaining water runs out of the system into the spent-capsule container. If you have already removed the drip tray and spent-capsule container before opening the lever, the water will run onto the base of the machine. The water may still be hot, so there is a risk of scalding. You should therefore make sure that the spent-capsule container is inserted when you open the lever.

Why does the machine turn itself off?
Your Expressi Machine has an energy-saving automatic switch-off device, which comes into operation after five minutes.

Can I use my large latte macchiato glass with K-fee Expressi Machine?
K-fee Expressi Machine has a height-adjustable drip tray so that it can also be used for large cups, beakers and latte macchiato glasses.

Cleaning
We recommend that you clean your machine every day and rinse it after each drink. The machine should be cleaned around three times a month with a cleaner or more often if necessary.

Cleaning the housing, water tank and drip tray:
You can wipe the housing of machine with a wet cloth when required. The water tank and drip tray can be removed for easy washing.Never put your hands into the capsule shaft - risk of injury!

Can I clean the removable parts in the dishwasher?
The spent-capsule container, drip tray and water tank can all be cleaned in the dishwasher, although this may possibly lead to changes in the surface appearance.

Descaling:
We recommend that you descale your machine about once a month or as required. The frequency will depend on the water hardness. Never use vinegar or vinegar cleaners as they can attack the hoses, seals and gaskets in the machine. Where does the liquid in the bottom of the drip tray come from?
The spent-capsule container is connected to the drip tray, which is where the remaining liquid from the capsules accumulates.

What happens if all the buttons start flashing rapidly?
Switch off the machine and remove the plug. Contact the K-fee System hotline.

What do I do if the drinks are not being delivered properly?
Gently press the lever right down. If necessary, descale the machine. Do not put excessive force onto the lever/handle.

What if there is a delay in the delivery of the drinks?
The machine is still heating up.

What if the spent-capsule container is over-full/has become jammed?
Try to loosen the spent-capsule container by shaking it lightly. Do not put excessive force onto the lever/handle.

What if the machine suddenly switches itself off after intensive use?
If the machine does not have enough time to cool down, it will switch itself off automatically to prevent it from overheating. In such cases, it should be allowed to cool off for about 30 minutes before being used again.

What do I do if the programming of the cup-filling quantity does not function properly?
Please note the volumes you can select: With the "small cup" button, 40ml - 100ml, and with the "large cup" button, 100ml - 200ml. Please ensure that a capsule is inserted when programming the cup-filling quantity.

Why is the jet of liquid from my K-fee Expressi Machine so uneven?
The first time the machine is switched on, the jet of water may be a little irregular. After a few brewing operations with capsules, the jet should become normal.

What happens if the "small cup" and "large cup" buttons flash simultaneously?
If both the buttons flash simultaneously, it may be that the machine is reacting to a temperature difference. You should allow the machine to "let off steam" by proceeding as follows: Put the machine is in standby mode. Press the "rinse" and "small cup" buttons and switch the machine on. The "large cup" button will begin to flash and the steam release procedure will begin. Note: Please ensure that the machine is only operated within a temperature range of 10 - 45 �C. Before start-up, the machine should always be allowed to adjust to the ambient temperature.

What capsules fit K-fee Expressi System
All capsules with a K-fee System logo will fit into your machine, irrespective of whether they are sold under the brand name of our retail partners or under the name Kroger. Watch out for the K-fee logo.

What is inside the capsules?
Every coffee capsule contains freshly ground, high-quality coffee and is individually aroma-sealed. That is why the coffee only unfolds its full aroma when it is actually prepared - a difference you will taste.

Can the capsules be used several times?
K-fee System capsules are intended for one cup and should therefore not be used more than once. Remove K-fee System capsules from the spent-capsule container after preparing your hot drink and dispose of them with your recyclable plastic waste.

How should I store K-fee Expressi capsules?
You can keep K-fee Expressi capsules in their original box or in a container of your choice. They should always - as stated on the pack - be kept in a cool, dry place without direct exposure to heat or sunshine.

How long does the coffee remain fresh in the capsules?
In our aroma-sealed capsules, the coffee stays fresh many times longer than in conventional coffee pads. Storing them in a cool, dry place extends the shelf life even further. The best-before date is printed on the bottom of the box and on the side of the capsules and is 18 months from production
